Montana Big Game Licensing
This is the 2012 licensing proposals as stated to us by the Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks. 17,000 licenses will be sold to non-resident hunters through a drawing process. You can apply for your license directly on line. We will also send applications by mail to booked and deposited hunters around January 20 if you prefer. Applications need to be filled out, and with license fee enclosed, mailed back to the Fish, Wildlife and Parks State Office in Helena, before the March 15 deadline.
*IMPORTANT
- Starting in 2012, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will use a preference point system in the non-resident General Elk License drawing. 75% of the 17,000 total non-resident general elk tags will be issued to hunters with one or more preference points.
- Preference point cost - $50.00 per point
- A preference point can be purchased between July 1 and September 30 each year for future drawings and seasons. You can also purchase an additional preference point at application time (January 10 through March 15) on the year you are going to hunt.
- It is very important that you build up preference points if you plan to hunt Montana in future years. Licenses will be awarded to applicants who hold the greatest number of preference points.
- The license drawing will be held on April 15. If you are unsuccessful in the drawing, your hunt deposit will be refunded in full immediately.
2012 B-10 Elk/Deer Combination License fee is $944.00 and entitles you to 1 elk, 1 deer, fish, game birds and a conservation number. |

*ALL HUNTS REQUIRE A 50% DEPOSIT TO HOLD RESERVATIONS
I would like to express a sincere thanks to every client that we've had the pleasure of hunting with the last 29 years. Without your business and friendship, the hunting season would not be possible. |
